Let us always remember that
we are in the holy presence of God
May God continue to live in our hearts
In the name of the Father,
Son and Holy Spirit

Intention of the Day
That we grow in self-surrender to God.
Marists living and working away from home.
That we grow in self-surrender to God.
Marists living and working away from home.
Today's Gospel
Take nothing for the journey: neither staff, nor haversack, nor bread, nor money; and do not have a spare tunic.
Luke 9: 1-6.
Breaking Open The Word
In this 'take nothing' approach to discipleship, Jesus asks us to trust: to truly rely on the hospitality of others and the ultimate providence of God
Taken from: Give Us This Day
That we grow in self-surrender to God.
Marists living and working away from home.
Marist Source
For us Jesus is the human face of God. In a privileged way we encounter him in the three special Marist places, where Jesus reveals God to us: At the Crib...At the Foot of the Cross...at the altar...
It is in these special Marist places that we not only encounter the love of Jesus, but also these are meeting places with the poor.
That we grow in self-surrender to God.
Marists living and working away from home.
To Ponder
'Gave them power and authority 'take nothing'- it is vulnerability, openness that ignites and makes gift the power and authority.
Where has the Spirit drawn you in today's prayer?
Closing Prayer
All Loving God
Cultivate in us a spirituality that flows out of Marian simplicity, humility and modesty.
Release in us wellsprings of refreshment, inspiration and excitement for your work in which we share.
Help us set our gaze on those people and places most in need of Christlife,
Impel us to respond together,
And lead us to be in communion with one another, and with you.
Like Mary, we listen for your invitation,
Like Mary, we set out joyfully and in haste to the hill country of the lives of young people,
Like Mary, we build communities in ways that are Christ-centred.
All Loving God, come and live in our hearts.
Amen
