Today's Gospel.
Now he is God, not of the dead, but of the living; for to him everyone is alive.
Luke 20: 27 - 38.
Breaking Open The Word
He (Jesus) was the same but he was different, and because he was both, our futures may turn out to be as astounding as his.

Marist Source
Daily experiences are special places of encounter with God. We find God’s presence in creation, in the events of every day: work and relationships, silence and noise, joys and sorrows, achievements and anguish, tragedy and death.
Where am I likely in my work and relationships, to encounter God today?
That we remain true to our spirit of poverty and detachment.

To Ponder
“He is God of the living” – who are you becoming? What is emerging in your deepest self?
Where has the Spirit drawn you in today's prayer?
Closing Prayer
All Loving God
Cultivate in us a spirituality that flows out of Marian simplicity, humility and modesty.
Release in us wellsprings of refreshment, inspiration and excitement for your work in which we share.
Help us set our gaze on those people and places most in need of Christlife,
Impel us to respond together,
And lead us to be in communion with one another, and with you.
Like Mary, we listen for your invitation,
Like Mary, we set out joyfully and in haste to the hill country of the lives of young people,
Like Mary, we build communities in ways that are Christ-centred.
All Loving God, come and live in our hearts.
Amen
